Late night walk in the park….1

I was laying in bed thinking of when I’ll get the chance to see him again

I looked at the wall clock, the wrist watch and just about the same moment the church clock struck 12

Yes, it was midnight and I was still deprived of sleep

Just as I pulled my comforter over my head I heard two taps on my window

Step after step I got to my window  and looking out I saw him

You know that cliche moment where your heart skips a thousand beats and triples them again?

Yes, that is the feeling I had when I saw my lover at the window

But wait, I knew someone was watching us from a distance.

CHANGES IN THE AFRICAN STORY….2

AFRICA…MY MOST FRUITFUL

We used to have the most cultured and respected generation filled with dignity and love for our culture and heritage

What happened to us that what our parents feared to do we now use it to “whatsapp”?

Copying blindly from the western world, we’ve lost our dignity and pride and I wonder how we will ever get it back?

Even our television stations and FM radios have stopped teaching and broadcasting our culture but they have inculcated the western culture into our children

The purely appalling sense of a so-called fashion has become a canker in our children and our parents do nothing but put their hands in their bosom and observe

Where? Where?? Where???

Where are we going from here my people? What do we see to become of our continent years to come?

What do we see our children mature to be in the near future if they go on like this?

What is our perception of our future if we stay in our comfort zone and ruin our culture?

The story continues….

THE ABUSE SERIES -AFTER

“He touched me

He took my innocence

He hurt me

He broke me

He warned me never to tell

Or else I’ll die”
Now this is her singsong

From being the world’s greatest to a broken soul

Can you feel it?

The emptiness behind her words

Can you see it?

The hollowness of her eyes

Can you sense it?

The sadness in her voice

Can you touch it?

The tears from her eyes

Can you???

She wore her heart on her sleeve and now it has been ripped off to nothing

Her pride of womanhood has been stripped off of her

Who knows what other implications it might lead to…. contraction of STIs, pregnancy or even death

For she has been broken physically, emotionally and psychologically

She needs help

She needs couseling

She needs monitoring

But even with all this, she can’t tell anyone

Because he threatened her

Now she’s broken, scared, confused and alone

And as she trudges down the path home, she wonders of it’s all worth it

For she has to go through all this….for what??

One selfish carnal man’s ungodly and unruly desires???

THE ABUSE SERIES- BEFORE

“What do I want to be in future?

That’s the question my teacher asked me in school today….

I want to be the UN secretary general when I grow up so I can help the whole world

Yes…that’s my dream”
She has a dream

That is her dream

As young as she is, she aims at helping the world at large

Such a beautiful dream is it?

But that’s not the story I’m telling today

The story continues when she meets her unfortunate dream killer

The dark clouds that consumes her soul with painful tears and bitterness

It wasn’t unconscious nor unthought of but it was a planned cruel act of a heartless being

He had laid wait in the darkness for her for so long but it looked like there was always someone with her

And today, just when she had to go alone, the devil in him strikes

Ripping her of her clothes, dignity, future and life

She’s just but a girl with a dream and a child with a vision

She’s just but a world changer whose world gets changed rather

All for what?

His selfish heartless and carnal desires?

Renewed Redemption

I wondered why we bother ourselves to celebrate an occasion that is past

Because it’s not like he is going to come downto earth to be crucified again

But I thought about it and realized that it doesn’t deal with the physicality but rather the implication of the celebration

We celebrate the Easter to signify the renewal of the redemption of lives

As a symbol of the renewal of our faith

As a stance that Christ Jesus is risen, after redemption and renewal of our souls

Happy Easter Family
