STAN LEE – 12/10/18

A calm Monday saw the demise of a legend who made our childhood fun, our youthful days exciting and our old days relaxing. He inspired in most people the ideology that we can actually be great if we set our minds to it. Through him children were given the chance to pick any superhero of their choice and be him or her. I grew up watching animations of Fantastic Four, Ant-man, Spiderman, Iron man and the likes and most children grew up doing same. Then in my youth I graduated to watching not animations of them but real life characters who played the roles of saving the world.

Any release of a movie from Marvel Studios broke the cinemas in all part of the world because everyone wanted to know who the new bad guy is and how our superheros can save us this time around.

Then came the AVENGERS who teach us that we all have our differences but we have to overcome them to achieve a desired goal. From the all knowing Iron Man to the sentimental Captain America and our new favorite Black Panther “Wakanda” taking us on a roll throughout their adventures into saving the world whichever means they can.

Now moving on to the real reason why I decided to put this down…

You probably did not notice but Stan Lee’s death broke the internet and trended on social media even the morning after and my point is, people who he had no idea existed were mourning him. Now let us compare to the another man who dies that very day in almost every country and no one knows of his exit neither do his family want to mourn him that is if he even has a family.

Similarities yet such a huge difference between the two. Stan used his life to make others happy and he made the world a better place, he served his purpose and died an honorable death which merits the praise and kind words which have been critically constructed in his name.

Now he is gone and it is our turn to make sure we fulfill our purpose and make an impact in every life we meet, it does not necessarily have to be a global impact like Stan Lee but it is still an impact once you are able to touch even one life. The world has a place for all of us to be great because in so many ways or so little ways we are all different.

Stan Lee is a Superhero who introduced us to his Superheroes and he taught us that Superheroes live forever and he will live forever in our hearts.

Wordlessly heeding to the mistakes of the past I forgot that the future was an untold story

Waiting for me to spell it out in contextual grammar

I thought throughout that the mistakes would never be corrected because I had been made to believe that a mistake of today is forever embedded in us

With no way of changing it neither correcting it

But just salvaging the thought of my evil mistakes chasing after me

Lead me onto my destined path

I prayed to whichever being was out there to listen to my fears

For the mistakes of the old were imprinted deep within like the joy and pain of a first love and heartbreak
